Resources
Textbooks or other books that your students might need may have already been adapted for students with print impairments. Here are some resources to try.
Note: Digital files can usually be used in audio format. Check the compatibility of file types against the student's equipment before ordering.
In addition, this is some information from the State of Alaska SPED Handbook, with the NIMAC and NIMAS language. Click here for a pdf.
For information on the NIMAS (National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard), or on the NIMAC (National Instructional Materials Access Center), you may go to their website: http://www.nimac.
Referrals
In order for SESA to consult with teams about specific students, a referral must be made. The SESA Referral Packet contains all the necessary forms to be filled out for SESA services to begin.
